Burke Tavern Burns Down

Last week Thursday Ashley was surprised to come to work and find that our next door neighbor, the Burke Station Tavern, was on fire. Fire fighters from 13 different departments fought the blaze that was discovered at 2 am. Luckily the bartender who discovered the fire was able to warn Ray who lived upstairs, and he, his dog and girlfriend got out safely. Our studio, across the parking lot, was not damaged, but the tavern was a total loss and was completely torn down yesterday.

Our hearts go out to everyone who worked there, and especially our friend Ray who lived upstairs and lost everything but the shirt on his back. We will be putting together donations of clothing and other items to help him get back on his feet. If anyone is interested in contributing feel free to give us a call or stop by.
