The Encore Wedding Workshop Wraps Up
This past weekend friend and fellow photographer Dave Watkins and I taught our second Wedding Workshop for professional photographers. The first workshop back in March filled up so quickly that we ended up hosting an Encore class. The 2 day event allowed photographers from around the state, and two who flew in from Canada, to learn our distinctly different approaches and how we capture and create such beautiful imagery.
I always love shooting in new places I've never been before and Dave and I deliberately went looking for locations that were new to us. This is something we also do on the wedding day - it's all about keeping things fresh and exciting!
We spent Sunday afternoon shooting 3 model brides and 2 grooms at various challenging locations around Madison and teaching everything from posing and lighting skills, to visual storytelling, composition, business, marketing and much more. It was a blast!
Thank you to everyone who attended and traveled so far. And, a special thanks to Allison, Adam, Sara, Phil and Erica our wonderful models. We couldn't have done it without you.
